Q1 . What are the things a seed needs to start growing ?

Ans – Seed needs water , air , and warmth to start growing.

Q2. Where is the food stored by plant stored?

Ans – Food made by leaves stored in fruits , seeds , roots, stems and sometimes also in leaves.

Q3. What are the uses of stem ?

Ans -The stem gives support to the plant. It helps water and food to travel to different parts of the plant. Some stems store food.

Q4. Plants can make their own food. Then why is there food stored in a seed for the young plant?

Ans – When a plant starts growing from a seed, it does not have leaves. So, it cannot make its food.

Q5. It is beneficial to sleep under a tree during the day, but not at night. Why?

Ans –  It is beneficial to sleep under a tree during the day as it gives out oxygen. It is harmful to sleep under a tree at night as it gives out carbon dioxide.
