Q1. If you have to shift to some other places for studies, what things would you take along with you?
Answer:
If I have to shift to some other place for studies. I will take along with me things such as bedding, clothes, chair, table, books, identity certificate. PAN card, Aadhar Card, ATM card etc.
Q2. What are the reasons due to which people migrate?
Ans- (i) For higher studies
(ii) For searching better occupation or job
(iii) For medical facilities
(iv) For marriage purpose
(v) To avail good facilities provided by government projects
(vi) Due to fight on castes and religion
(vii) For better living standards
(viii) Drought, flood, tsunami, storms etc. are some other reasons.
Q3.What facilities or arrangements people have to make when they want to settle down at some new place?
Ans- When people want to settle down at some new place, they must arrange for proper job, food and drinking water, home for living and necessities for their children education.
Q4. What is the difference between the permanent house and the house of their families who changed their places continuously?
Ans- People who live in their own house have bigger rooms, but people who change their place of living and live in rented houses, have smaller rooms.
Q5. Due to the construction of the dam, the people living in that area had to leave their homes. Why?
Ans- Due to the construction of the dam, many areas became a low-lying area and so the people living in that area had to leave their homes.
Q6. Why are the dams constructed?
Ans- For drinking and irrigational purpose, dams are constructed.
Q7. If you are given a responsibility to rehabilitate people in a new place, which facilities will you provide to them?
Ans- If I get a responsibility to rehabilitate people in a new place, I will provide housing, drinking water, sanitation, school, primary health centres etc. for them.
Q8.According to this chapter, what are the reasons for which people leave their homes?
Ans- According to this chapter, the reasons due to which people leave their homes are –

Sometimes, people are unable to get a proper job as per their ability.
