A – Explain . Give one example in each case :-

a. Herbivores are animals that only eat plants, example deer.
b. Omnivores are animals that eat both plants and animals, example bear.
c. Carnivores are animals that only eat the flesh of other animals, example tiger.

B – Answer the following questions :-

Q1. How does a mosquito get its food?

Ans – A mosquito stabs an animal with a sharp, hollow tube in its mouth and uses it to suck its blood.

Q2. What is a food chain? Why do all food chains start with plants?

Ans – 2. A food chain tells us who eats what in nature. All food chains begin with plants because only plants can make their own food.
